Floor installation & repair requests

Tell us about the floor, the problem and the result you want. The office reviews each request before confirming whether the work is a fit.

Start with the existing floor.

Include the room, approximate dimensions, flooring material and what has changed. A wide photograph shows the area and transitions; a close-up helps explain a damaged edge, loose piece or worn surface. If you do not know the material, describe it rather than guessing.

Repair or replacement?

Tell the office whether you want a localized repair or are considering replacement. Mention spare matching pieces, materials already purchased, and whether adjoining rooms use the same flooring. Matching an existing finish and replacing a whole area are different requests.

Conditions that affect the scope

Describe unevenness, movement, soft areas or a history of moisture. Visible surface damage may not explain the condition underneath. Access, furniture, door clearances and transitions also matter when discussing a plan. Do not assume that an installation quote includes hidden damage or subfloor work.

Before buying materials

Discuss the request and product information with the office first. Material suitability, quantities, preparation and installation responsibilities need agreement before work is scheduled. Specialty installation and restoration capabilities must be confirmed for your specific project.

Can you confirm a flooring job from photographs alone?

Photos can help the initial review. Conditions underneath and the existing installation may require an on-site assessment before scope or price can be confirmed.

Should I include the flooring brand or product link?

Yes, if available. Include the material, product details, room dimensions and whether spare pieces are available. The office will review whether the request is a fit.

What if the damage followed a leak?

Tell the office about the cause, affected area and any drying or prior repairs. Surface replacement should not be treated as a substitute for assessing unresolved moisture or underlying damage.
